The dilated vagina or uterus can cause urinary tract obstruction. The presence of a fluid-debris level inside the mass can differentiate this cyst from the fetal urinary bladder. [16] [17] The only variation that may require medical intervention is the imperforate hymen, which either completely prevents the passage of menstrual fluid or slows it significantly.
