WebFeb 3, 2010 · obd2 is a communications protocol, not just a connection interface. all that adaptor does is allow you to plug a standard obd2 lead into the connector that fiat / alfa use. If the ecu was obd2 compatible (as later fiats and alfas are) then it'd work. the cinq ecu is not compatible with obd2 and never will be. see code reader thread for more info.
